    Hello,

My name is Rachel. I have been following your blog entries about healthy living and walking and I thought you may be interested in letting your readers know about America On the Move Foundation’s (AOMF) Steptember celebration. AOMF is a national non-profit organization focused on healthy living through small and manageable changes. I represent the organization on behalf of public relations agency GolinHarris. I find your blog very interesting – the AOM campaign is quite manageable; maybe this is something that may help your readers achieve a healthy lifestyle.

AOMF encourages people to make small, manageable lifestyle changes that are scientifically proven to make a difference in overall health and wellness. The group promotes making two small changes each day:

oAdding 2,000 steps (about 1 mile)
oCutting only 100 calories (a tablespoon of butter)

Steptember 2007, AOMF’s second annual celebration of healthy, active living, kicks off today. Throughout the month, you can visit http://www.AmericaOntheMove.org to sign up to participate in Steptember. Each day, one online participant will win an iPod shuffle. Additionally, at the end of the month, one lucky participant will win a $500 shopping spree at DICK’s Sporting Goods.

Recent research indicates that fewer Americans are trying to lose weight. Americans more than ever are in need for social networks to gain and help support their efforts to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Please feel free to download and pass along flyers, planning guides and tip sheets about healthy living and exercise from the Steptember program site. You can also grab the program icon and display it on your email signature or blog and access a list of Steptember events in your area.

If you have any questions at all I am more than happy to send you additional information promptly.

    Kind Regards,
    Rachel Nathan
